Ottawa Latin-American Association (OLA) is a non- profit organization recognized by the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa (SFUO). Due to the growing interest for the Spanish language and the lack of an association representing the Latin-American culture, in February 2002, a group of students formed OLA. With more than 200 members, our association represents the Latin and Spanish-speaking communities on campus.

Our Goals

OLA‘s purpose is to promote the culture, the language and traditions of Latin-American within the university community. It is our priority to strengthen the educational and cultural ties amongst Latin-American students and the Canadian community.

Activities

OLA offers its members diverse activities:
• Welcome Night
• Latin Fiestas
• Latin-American Movie Nights
• Latin-American Festival
• Latin American Week
• OLA SCOLARSHIP 2006

Every year we give a $1000 prize to an OLA member who has participated and won our contest. For more information please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
